I have a 2000 115 HP Mercury 4 cylinder outboard S# OT 013956 and am having troube installing carb. #4, I had trouble removing this one as well.<br />The carbs. have been cleaned in the past and number 4, unlike the other three carbs, is secured with two bolts rather then with studs. I'am thinking that the bolts are not supposed to be there. <br /><br />The problem is that the bolts are so long that the bottom cowl prevents me from getting them thru the attenuator plate and carburetor to secure #4.<br /><br />Should #4 carb. be held on with studs? If not how do I make the connection?
