Here,s the deal.I was coming across the lake with the wife ,grandkid ,wifes daughter and husband ,two dogs and the cat.Cruising about half throttle then the engine dropped off speed so stopped the engine and raised it.The prop had shed all three blades,( i run a composite prop )Did not notice if i hit anything submerged and if i did i would have felt it.So put the spare prop on and noticed that the resistance on the lower end was not very good. The spare still got us home but at a very reduced speed.Today i will check the shift linkages and if OK problem must be in the lower end.Question is are there any online manuals.I have looked but did not find.(1999 Merc 115 driving a 20 foot Lund Alasken)

Thanks

Re: Mercury 115 OB Question

Not many free online manuals, the blade shearing is not that uncommon with composite props, it sounds like the other prop has a hub slipping did you install the right thrust hub for the prop when changing props.
