Mercury 115 Starting problems

Last year I purchase a used bass boat with a Mercury 115 hp engine. Soon as I bought the boat I took the boat to a marina to have a tune up and get new plugs and etc. It took a few minutes to get the motor cranked up last year. This year it is very hard to get it cranked up. I thought it was my battery so I purchased a new starter battery and the motor is still acting like it is not getting enough juice to crank up. Sometimes it will make a low rumble and other times the motor will just click. Can someone please tell me what they think is wrong with my boat and what should I do?

the solonied is going out slowly or the starter brushes or dirty from a weak battery.

OR you need to make sure your battery connections are as tight as you can get them. Then check all the bolts in the motor where those wires connect to.

Those motors need a lot of CCA like 800 and up or so to get them moving.

What CCA rating does your battery have?

Parker, A standard 24 series marine cranking battery is just fine for those motors. Check the condition of the battery cables. Sometimes they get corroded under the insulation, where it is hard to see it. A voltage drop test is the best way to find those high resistance buggers.
