Mercury 115

Hi, I have a 1971 Mercury Thunderbolt 115 and was looking at a new lower unit on ebay, it is a 1974 and the motor had blue labels, mine has red labels, will the lower unit still fit? What is the diference in the motors as far as red or blue labels?

It will fit just fine. The color of the bands changed as did some other components (Rectifier, coil, starter), however the LU are interchangeable
