Hello!

I would like som advice about a good affordable tachometer to my 1976 Mercury 1150 6 cyl two stroke outboard. It doesn't have to have the standard plug to the mercontrol, just work together with the engine. What kind of tachometer can I use! I tried a basic car tach but it doesn't function at all.

Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad english!

Best regards /Guztav from Sweden

Thank you very much for your quick and good reply! I think I'm going to order from Iboats both tachometer and speedometer, maybe a fuel gauge aswell. But where can I find the sensors to the speedometer and the fuelgauge, is there any sensors to buy at Iboats? I might just be blind, but please help me :)

This is just an opinion of mine but I hate boat speedometer's ........ they are not very accurate at all and a handheld GPS is much better.

If you do really want a speedometer http://www.iboats.com/Boat-Parts-Ac..._category.f--searched.1--**********.909975252 and I would call iboats and ask if it comes with the Pitot pick-up (I am not sure) If you need to order one http://www.iboats.com/Pitot-Tube-Seachoice/dm/*******.864337449--**********.909975252--view_id.70526 and get the plastic connecting tube locally.

As far as the fuel gauge sending unit iboats sells them too but, they are based on the size and depth of your fuel tank http://www.iboats.com/Boat-Parts-Ac...975252--submit.Search--submit.x.0--submit.y.0 down the page just past the tanks.
