Mercury 1150 gear problem

My mercury 1150 outboard was running godd, afterI hit a tree branch or rock, the propeller broken a little bit but the motor only move very slow, it seems that the shift is not entering, it run forward and innreverse but very slow, if i try to go faster the motor sounds like its in neutral and keeo moving very very slow.. What could it be? Thank you for your help

Most props have a safety hub that slips if you hit something sometimes they fail afterwords.
A prop shop can tell if its spun and replace the hub.
