I have a Merc 1150 from 1970 that have lost the spark. With the ignition on, I have +12V on the red connection. But on the green one that goes to the coil there is nothing. It should be +12V there or?

Do you have power on the ign wire to the switchbox? That wire would be white.

I do not believe 12 volts goes to the coil on these ignition systems.-----Something much higher.----Go to ---cdielectronics----website for the trouble shooting info.

Thanks for your answers. I went out in the garage to check voltage on the white connection. Had +12v there as well as on red connection. Checked for spark again, and I had that on all plugs!! Don't know what the problem was yesterday?? So now that part looks ok.

Has the wiring harness and electronics been replaced on your motor? They're notorious for having rotten wire sheathing and will cause all manner of electrical issues.
