What should a good clean distributor and rotor look like? Pics are from cleaning with carb cleaner. What else can be used to clean them? Are they supposed to be shiny? Motor has a miss to it.

The cap looks OK, as far as I can see. I would not remove too much metal. The spark is real hot and should pass thru light oxidation. The rotor picture did not come up. Clean the rotor carefully, as they are real fragile and $200+ and a PIA to replace.

Check your spark plug wires for an arc to ground. Also, your spark plug wires are stranded stainless steel. They should have zero resistance. Which cylinder is missing?

Oh I know, I've been pricing parts.. lol Going to have to take a small loan for just the ignition parts.. I don't know actually what cylinder is missing. I will check all plugs tomorrow. WOT I am getting a symptom as if the motor is not firing on all, then it fires then is doesn't, and so on so its a jerky ride.

Pump primer bulb when running at high speed. If she gets better, rebuild fuel pump. Fuel pumps are marginal on the 70's IL6 motors, so it must be in top shape.
