mercury 1150

I recently picked up a 77 16.5 foot sidewinder with a 1150 merc ser 2839116. For 24 beer! The problem is the motor is seized. I separated the head from the leg and it is stuck hard.Ive soaked it in wd40, to no avail, should I keep trying? Is this a good motor, and what year is it? Is it worth rebuilding?

welcome aboard mate... 2923383 here <br />it's a '70 merc 1150, 115hp, Tbolt ign.<br />it's worth a few bucks just for parts on<br />ebay... prob $500!<br />mine is a creampuff w/low hrs. but they sure<br />ain't a rare collectable... were decent motors though!<br />M.Y.

Ok then, I broke the arm on the top of the shift rod.....got one?
