Mercury 115hp

2000 model mercury 115 2+2 stalling when I put into forward gear. Boat shop turned the idle up, this has helped a little but it now engages into gear roughly because of extra rpm.<br />Idles sweetly in neutral but is very rough at low speed or idle when in gear. any advice appreciated.

That is not the way to do it.<br />Adjust your idle mix. Get a manual.<br />Check this topic (click) <br />That is about an older model but you'll get the idea (not the settings).<br /><br />Edit: New engine, a little early to start adjusting the carbs. Make sure the isn't dirt or water in the carbs. Check your filters, water separator and float bowls.<br /><br />Good luck!

i've got a 1994 model 115 same problem last summer changed fuel filter and that took care of it.
