I found a boat I wanted and has a Mercury 135 hp motor on it, but the block cracked. I am waiting for the photos , so i will attach it when I got it. Is it fixable ?
I hear a method of "JB weld" ? How is it exactly would done, and is it safe?

J b weld is epoxy. If i was buying it i would consider the motor scrap. One piece of advice for buying broken motors if it was an easy or cheap fix they would have already done it.

You can part out very single piece of that motor and sell them on eBay or just buy a rebuilt powerhead and use all your stuff on it, but as Flyingscott said, consider it junk.

Gee, inline six or V6 motor? What part cracked? Sometimes, some cracks can be welded or ignored. It depends on what cracked....

Sorry Chris I was assuming it was an I/O because of the cracked block didn't mean to insult you

No problem. Outboards also suffer cracked blocks, but not usually from freezing water. My IL6 block cracked under the transfer port cover, likely from an overheated piston. I had that welded. I am sure there are other, similar instances.
