Other than the swivel bracket above and between the clamp screws, is there anywhere else i can find the serial number on this engine? I'm guessing its a 70 because the boat is a 70, but i need to know if it is the 1350E or 1350EL.
Measure the length of the leg, if it's 20" it's a 'L' (long shaft), if it's 15" it's not.<br /><br />'E' means electric.<br /><br />Those towers of power were only made 1970/71 (I think).
okay so its a 1350E and Im gonna wait till tommorow to pull the cover. Your right dunaruna. They were only made in 1970/71. But, there are big differences in some parts from what i understand. The carburetor is one of my many problems now and it happens to be diff between the two. So thanks guys for the info (in both forums)
