Mercury 150 SW XLwired plug

I have a 2000' Merc 150 my issue is I'm not sure how to go about fixing these wires .Does anybody know if this is fixable or does it need new wiring back to the source? it just seems to be 2 wires and they come from under the stator

You can buy a new harness to replace the bad one or use insulated wire connectors and cut just the wires that need to be repaired and plug the connectors together. JMO

Oldman is spot on..cut the wires on both side of the plug and put them together...quick fix...no out of pocket money for a harness...
