Mercury 150 V6 Black Max

I recently bought my nephews boat and I want to find out exactly what model and year it is. but ... I don't know where to locate the model number on the motor. all that is there is a Serial Number Tag .... A156648

Will this help me determine the questions I have ? ie; year, model, etc. in the event I need to work on or get parts ?
