I took the boat of yesterday for our company organization day at the lake and had a few embrassing moments with the motor failing to start. However once she got started everything was fine.
If I dock the boat for a 1-2 hours it would be hard to start. Here is my start up procedure.
1. boat in neutral
2. pump the fuel ball till hard.
3. push in key for a few minutes
4. start engine.....
Earlier in the day the motor was not picking up speed, so called my brother in New Orleans and he just told me to raise the engine up until my steering felt like PWR Steering in a car.
At the end of the day after loading the boat on the trailer I take the plug out the rear of the boat and fuel is coming out the bilge.
Whats up with that?
This is my 1st boat and my 1st time out. It has been sitting for over a year, but I did take it to a boat shop to have the engine looked over and he replace the water pump and lower gear lube.
Any help will be appreciated.
