hello can any body tell me when the v6 came out and what year mine is model number 423441 as i cant find it any where cheers shaun

Welcome to iboats.<br /><br />1978 is the first year as far as I can tell, but it may have been introduced in 1977. Your serial number is below the range they specify, so that could be one of those first run of motors. Does it have the single ram trim?

I want one of those! Those trim systems are the best ever made. They were originally used on race motors. Too dang expensive to keep putting them on, tho. But they'll trim all the way up. Best rooster tails I ever got was with one of those on a old Skeeter. I swear that rooster went 30ft...up. Boat didn't go any faster, infact it slowed down. But dang that was impressive!<br /><br />Unleaded fuel is fine. I believe they specified 89 octane but I could be wrong, and the way we measure octane nowadays doesn't have much bearing on the original figure.

Anyone know where you can get a cheap set of hydraulic hoses for one of those single cylinder trim units?
