mercury 1982 18 hp throttle rod

I recently got a 1982 18 hp mercury model # 1018202, and it's missing the the throttle rod assembly part #'s 98463A1 replaced by 98463A2 No longer available and the ball socket part # 98465. I wanted to know if anyone knows Where to get one or if there is another part that is similar that could be modified to fit or maybe make one from something else? Any thoughts or help to point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated! If any other info is needed Just let me know. And if anyone has one these motors can you tell me where the ground wire from the kill switch gets connected or send me a picture, thanks.

If you get no answers try to locate an old Mercury dealer that has been around for a lot of years. He should have quite an assortment of "junkers" lying around that may have one if he doesn't have one in a new wrapper. Couple of guys on here are dealers/ deal with engines and may have one or direct you to a shop that will. Give them time to see this thread and respond. If you get no answers, just answer your post yourself with the word "Bump". That will kick it back up to the top where it can more easily be seen and receive a response.

There are no mercury dealers in my area that deal with used parts, so i fIgured I'd see if anyone else ran into this problem, or maybe someone knows where to get one or maybe give me some measurements so i can try to fabricate one, if anyone has any ideas please let me know, thanks
