I put a new stator and a new trigger I rebuilt the carbs and then I put them through a pressure test and made sure they will fill and then would not leak I set the fuel mix 1 3/4 turns choked the motor and started it everything was working well set the low idle and then put it into gear and ran it up to wot it seamed to hold strong I adjusted the fuel mix 2.25 turns and it ran smooth.

Now here is where the problem happens I went out and idle low at less then 2 mph jumped out on it and it Ran up to 31 mph on a flat 16ft john but then it start surging and cutting back I started pumping the gas bulb and it helped a litte no gas was leaking and it seemed to hard enough I coulsqueezeze it if i applied enougpressurere. The symptom would get better but it still surge enough so i would have to let off the throttle anre-pumpmp it up and then jump on it again.
doesn'tn'st stall and runs at very low idle and will run strong when just sitting on trailer but once its out on the river and running it wants to cut out.

what should I do.

1st you Need to rebuild fuel pump...2nd you need to set idle in lake/river.Reason it runs great on trailer is no back pressure.Once in river it creates back pressure and lowers rpm.Good Luck.

fuel pumps are part of the carburetors I rebuilt them at the same time the fuel pumps just require new gaskets and I know I installed all of the correct. I am using last years hose and connectors could they go bad can I attach hose strait to gas tank to check is there away to check the pumps I am not sure how these work I was thinking they just stay presurized from the carbs. while it was running I looked into the carbs and I could see the fuel mist.
