I have a 30" shaft on my motor.
It's a solid shaft no connectors.

What would it take to make it a 25"\

I know removing the 5" extension would be part of it.
But what about the shift shaft and other parts??
Thanks, Jerry

Need driveshaft, shift shaft and water tube......I got a 25" motor PM me but it would be a whole lot cheaper to install a 4" jackplate, invert the mounting and make it a 3" and jack it up.

From what I can see, to replace the shift shaft you need to pull the head??

Fast: Someone in my area is looking for a 25" and my 30 is on the market.
I told him it's possible to change it over but didn't realize the amount of work it would take.
Invert he mounting? what's that?

Thanks for the reply.

You take the inner plates and flip em 180 so they are inside the outer plates that mount to boat.
