Hi, I have a mercury 25 hp, the Propeller shaft is bend, the motor will spin fine but it just has a little bid on bend on the shaft, you can see it by looking at the propeller with the motor running on gear. My question is, is there any way that I can repair the shaft with heat or any other way? Or I have to buy another shaft? Is it to difficult to pull the shaft out? Any special tools? I have pull prop shaft before on Tohatsu and they are very easy to work on. I will really appreciated any help I can get

Thank you

Most of the 25s require a special tool to get the propshaft out. If it's bent too badly, you'll need a new one. If you can see that it's bent, it's too badly. You might also have suffered gear damage. Some homeowners insurance policies will cover it. Get an estimate and contact your insurer if you own a home.
