Mercury 25 hp tiller conversion

I found a good deal on a 25 Merc. tiller long shaft. I think it's a 93 but no tag. I have an 89 Evinrude 40 hp tracker long shaft that is remote on a bass tracker. Can I convert the merc to remote and how difficult would it be? Can I use my controls? Help Please

I have a 1996 Mercury 25 that has remote sterring that i would be willing to trade if your tiller arm assembly will work on my motor. Mine has new teleflex throttle cables and teleflex steering.

I have a 1982 25 hp murcury short shaft remote with the control and need a tiller motor if you are interested in a trade

You realy need to be sure what year your motor is as diffrent years have diffrent setups for the controls. Look on the block for a quarter sized disk with numbers on it. They should be your SR# and will tell for sure what year the motor is. The control cables for Johnson will need to be changed out as they usally are diffrent ends and mounts to the engine. You will need a manual for the Merc in order to switch everything over if you have never done it before. Been there Done that.
