Hi all, I have a 2006 mercury 25 EFI on a 2007 lowe stinger 160. The motor will not plane out and seems to barley do 8-10 mph. It runs very well at idle but at full throttle with load I can only get 4100 rpm, (full range 6k). The motor out of water gets up to the full range. The boat is unusable as is. Thought it may be a spun prop, but I tested it and it doesn't seem t be that. Lowe wouldn't put such a under powered motor on this would they? I just bought this so I don't know the history. All I can say it runs smooth and seems to function properly, but the rpm will only hit 4100 @ full throttle. btw, I removed all the fuel and replaced it with new. Like I said the motor runs smooth. Please help!
