I have had this boat sitting for about 10 years. I have only 168 hrs wear and tear. The engine is rusted internally, but not seized from overheating or loss of oil. My friend suggested mystery oil in the plug ports and in the carburator. I have been doing this for three days and the carburator is still asking for more. Should I kep adding? He says that over a week to 10 days the mystery oil should allow me to manually rotate the engine, a quarter turn or so at a time. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have done this with old engines and yes it works. Marval Mystery Oil poured in and lots of it. Pull the plugs and put it in there too.

The other part of the equation is to take the head off and you might have to hone the cylinders too.

Just be VERY patient.

Bob

I've been at it for 11 days now and need to hone the cylinders. Please give me an idea about how to go about it. I realise the dome cover must be removed. Should I mark the position of the lifter adjustments, before I remove the bolts to access the cylinders? JBundy321@aol.com
