I have a 35 HP merc outboard that came with a 13' whaler type boat I bought for the kids last summer. The steering on the boat is now shot and no one seems to want to fix it so we're thinking of trading the merc for a smaller tiller controlled motor, because the 35 was a bit scary for them anyway.<br /><br />The throttle control is pretty stiff and may need replacing but the motor seems to work OK.Serial no. on motor is A904327, don't know the year but perhaps 90 due to serial no.?
