Mercury 4.5 HP

I was given a Mercury 4.5 HP the other day. It has not been used in 13 years. Need help in these areas.<br /><br />Year? Serial number 6105348<br /><br />Throttle does not advance, gears try to move, but something locking it up.<br /><br />Need a new shift lever for it, where to buy?<br /><br />I have not started it yet.<br /><br />Thanks,

Bushmster, I believe motor year is a 1982.Try merc dealer for shift lever parts.Probably have to completely diassemble throttle control,clean all parts in solvent ,lubricate and reassemble.
