Mercury 4.5

This little Mercury has me at a standstill. 90 pounds of compression with 4 pulls, clean carb passages, carb full of fuel, new insulator block on maker points, strong spark, wont run. I had it running when I had the foot off, while I was waiting for the water pump impeller to come in the mail. I noticed a pressure or vacuum discharge sound for a while when pulling the engine over that I am not familiar with. Everything runs for me with fire, fuel, and compression. I watch a strong spark coming out the spark plug I am using in it, although I do have a new one coming in the mail, incase its acting up while inside the cylinder. I'm whooped at this minute. Any attempt to help would be appreciated.

Update, it was the spark plug not sparking while screwed into the head. My new plug has not come in the mail yet, but I took a champion CJ14 out of my little 2-stroke generator, put it in the outboard and it starts first pull every time.
