Hi, I have a 2001 or a 2002 mercury 40hp, and no one seems to know if it has a carburetor or if it's EFI. It does NOT say EFI on the side, it's the model that gets vapor lock (I thought only carbureted models got vapor lock). I have searched everywhere, and I can`t find where the carb would be, if it had one. I`ve never sprayed any kind of stabilizer in the fuel becuase I assumed it was efi. Where would I spray carb cleaner? Been to several dealers, some say it's carb, some say it's EFI, one said it's a hybrid.
