Hello!

I was wondering if anyone knows how the connections from the engine to the battery suppose to be connected? The battery wont charge as it is connected now. I don't know if the generator generates power. Maybe I could use a multimeter to test the output voltage from the engine but I dont know which of the connectors is suppose to charge the battery. Can I find a drawing to the electrical system anywhere on the internet?

The engine is from 1978 or 1979. 50 hp 2 -stroke, 4 cylinders. That's all I know. / Micke

The two large wires that come from the engine are the wires that will send the power to the battery to charge it. Red is + Black is -

TMD

So you mean that there is only two cables from the battery to the engine. When the electric started needs power the electricity comes from the battery through these cables. Once the engine is running the electricity that's generated by the engine goes back to the battery through the same cables?
