mercury 50 HP 4 cyl. 1988 no fire please help

Hi, i have mercury 50hp 4 cyl. 1988 i try to find the problem i think its the stater but not sure, i have fire on just one coil if i change the wire on coil the one come from the triger the fire go were the wire go so i change the triger but no result same thing apen just one make fire i want to test the stater and im not sure on how to verify the stater someone can help^me please or other thing maybe i have to verify

No spark on 1 ciol is either a bad coil or switch box, just swap the input wire to the coil with a differant coil at the swithbox if the lack of spark stay at the same coil it's a bad coil if it moves with the wire it's the box

but i dont understand the switchbox dont made volt, its not my stator make this??????

Yes the stator makes voltage, the trigger controls the timing and tells the box went to fire the coils and the switch box distributes the voltage to the coils, if 1 of the rectifier switchs in the box fail you lose spark on that cyl. and the engine will run on the other 3

ok i understand but how can make sure its the switch box or the stator???
