mercury 50 top plate on foot

Hi, I have a peice broken off of my mercury 50 hp 2 stroke engine right above the prop. There is a plate that some people bolt a doel fin to...My plate has one side about 4 inchs broken off. Where can I get one to have welded on with out buying a gear housing?<br /><br />thanks

Shops that reapir broken skegs can fix antiventilation plates as well. You can find one in the yellow pages, or ask a dealer. Few dealers do that themselves. They usually act as a middleman with prop repair shops...usually local welding shops.
