Mercury 50HP what year

Mercury 50HP, 20 inch shaft, tilt/trim, 3 cylinders, serial number 0T005686. One sticker on engine says 2000.

Standard outboard motor. I think it is a 2000, but not sure. I will call Merc after the holidays, and order manual at same time. It came with a 13 ft Boston Whaler 1993 model. The motor looks and runs like new. Owner said dealer said 2001 when he bought boat and motor, but I dont think it is a 2001.
