mercury 6 or 8 h.p

trying to make my mind up between a 6 4s or an 8 4s merc. i know there are some restrictions on lakes for h.p or m.p.h and theres my opinion on a 2 cylinder apose to a 1 cylinder i rather have a 2 cyl. cus of less vibration and a smoother running motor but on the other hand there all those restrictions.

are they all true on those 1 cyl. do they vibrate like others or are mercurys above the rest in that respect. any guru's (sorry for the name) that have expierence in these motors.....thanks glenn

personally i would just go with the larger. i have a 6 and a 10hp johnson, and i dont know how many times i had 2-3 guys hop into my boat to fish or whatever and the motor just could'nt push the load. as for vibration, mine where both 2 stroke, i cant help ya with that. sorry
