Mercury 65hp 650?

We recently bought a 1963 Cruiser 202, on it is a 65hp 650 mercury. The serial number is 1576518, I can't find any motor with the same horsepower with that serial number.It's a single lever full gear shift. Can anyone tell me anything about it? I would like to know the year if possible, Thanks!

Serial numbers are unique, gordita. Only one engine gets it. Model numbers are shared by many engines.

The model number is 650 (I think!), going by your serial number it looks like you have a 1963.
