Mercury 7.5 hp which coil?

I need two coils for my mercury 7.5 hp outboard
and dont know the part number for them as i dont have the original coils.
the serial number for the outboard is 3193695
i have found 2 coils that were from a similar engine but it had a cdi ignition and mine has points...
would these be ok?
I would prefer to buy new but cant seem to find anyone in the uk that makes them

go to oldmercs.com. Get a date for your engine w/ the serial number and then I'd bet you'll find the parts there. I think it's a 70 or 71, so look in those years and confirm s/n. Good site.

They might very well sell those coils on this site too.

your engine is a 1971, and the coild can be found on www.oldmercs.com as d.boat said these guys are awesome i buy from them all the time and the part number for the coils are #336-4409A4

i would go for the new ones the grounding wire is on the other side and im not sure if the voltage is compatible (your primary voltage)
