Mercury 850 - Need Year - S/N-7017117

Hi All,

I have spent the last couple hours trying to figure out the year of this Mercury 850. The tag on the transom mount(in front) states S/N - 7017117. Can someone please tell me the year of this engine. I am wanting to sell and need that Information. Thanks in advance - Iboats.com rocks!

is there a link to find out s/n years. Just bought a 71 silverline trihull with a 85 merc on the back....s/n 3492007 ? I think thats it? anyone know what year the motor is? thanks!
