I have no clue how to find out what year and what type of wiring harness is compatible with the motor on a boat I bought last year. It has a merControl that the wiring is corroded in and requires replacement. Instead of soldering and dealing with those repairs I would prefer to know what type of options I have to replace that with this type of motor. Any help is appreciated and if this is the wrong section I apologize and I will post it elsewhere.

I looked on the motor and can't find a serial number sticker anywhere.

I will look again later today but I didn't see one. My wife always says I'm blind so maybe I will have her look...lol I wasn't sure if it was on a sticker or if it was stamped somewhere on the unit itself.

Swivel bracket is starting point. Second is a "freeze" plug on the block. Third is to look for numbers on the block near the transfer covers. Those last numbers can be the Block part numbers, BTW.
