I have just purchased a secondhand mercury 85hp, serial no. 9012052. I would like to know what the fuel/oil ratio is & also any other relevent info ie age, points to look out for.<br />thanx in advance, Graeme

That would be a 1973 4cyl. model and you mix 16oz. of oil to ever 6 gallon of gas.

That's right 50-1 ratio on the gas oil mix. It would be in your best intersest to get a manual and learn about your motor, clymer sells a great detailed manual. Good luck.<br />CU
