Mercury 8horse, ??year, carb problems

I recnelty bought an 8 horse mercury kicker, and am having some carb problems. I think I can figure out how to go through the carb after I get the manual, but I am having a hard time finding out the exact year. I've read several peoples "how to" on finding out the year and still haven't had any luck.<br />the SN is: OB203362<br />Can someone help me out on this?<br />thanks!

I will need the number off the carb to supply with parts.<br /><br />The number should be WMC?<br /><br />As for the year..the comp does not tell me that.<br /><br />TMD

Thanks marine doctor, I'll get that number tonight and post it. <br /><br />What do I need in order to get the year of the motor? I was hoping I could get it off of the SN..<br />thanks

The year should be 1988 from what I gathered from the Serial # book.<br /><br />TMD
