Mercury 9.9 Hp upgrade to 15 Hp

Please let me know how to upgrade the O/B Mercury 2 strokes 9.9 to 15 Hp. I know the engine are the same except for prop and carb.<br />Thanks

Well, Emmanuel, if, as you know, the engines are the same except for carb and prop, why not just change the carb and prop? If it was me, I'd trade.<br /><br />Red sky at night. . .<br />JB :)

Porting is probably diiferent also, i.e exhaust and transfer port heights and dimensions. Cut you head .030 that will raise compression and should supply a little more kick, but then will need to go up a size in the carb jets. But I am with JB, hot rod that motor and longevity and reliabilty go out the window.
