Hey guys I'm new here I'm hoping someone can help me out. I have a 1996 Mercury 90hp outboard. I have changed the shifter can in it twice and now I have to do it again. Each time I have removed the old shift cam and found the top edge to have chips in it. Can anyone tell me what's causing this. I have also changed the follower each time. The chipping is only on the reverse part of the cam
