Mercury alternator Parts

Does anyone know where you can buy replacement parts i.e. regulator & rectifier for a mercury 225 EFI alternator . They want over $400 for the unit , and all I need are these specific parts to repair mine . tduck@charter.net

Does your stator have 4 yellow leads or 2? You can use a CDI/Rapair #194-5279 combo rec/reg to replace your 2 piece system, good for 16A of juice. If you have 4 leads you'll need 2 of them. $95 from seiler marine. I retro-fitted 1 on my '86 175, works better than factory.
