I've recently bought a 1987 Bass Tracker with a 45 HP Mercury outboard. What is involved in removing the "autoblend" and just pre-mixing my gas & oil? The system appears to be working but the fill cap is broken and apperently no repair parts (diafram etc.) are availible. mikey1

Really easy.Mix yourself a tank of 50 to 1 and plug it into your engine, then kick that autoblend to the curb.

And the really easy way to go when your autoblend is not working: Fill both the fuel tank and the oil tank with pre-mix.

It then doesn't matter if the autoblend works and you won't have to dismantle anything.

This, ofcurse, only works if your oil system is not leaking.
