mercury force 9.9hp

Hi

I am thinking to buy a mercury force outboard 9.9hp and around 4 years old
i heard this outboards are so bad that even mechanics do not accept them and the production has stopped.

does anybody have any experience with them?
are they really as bad as people say? is it possible to get spare parts?

You have heard about right, except Mercury didn't build them

Production stopped in 1999, so that motor is at least 8.5 years old.

Save yourself the headaches and find something else.
