yes i admit it is slow. i am a J/E person, and we have more members with J/E experience, than we do Merc help. we have several people who do as much as they can. remember this is an all volunteer forum.

lol just joking i help people if i can also i would be out if merc didnt have these dumb anti vibration bushings holding the mid section to the saddle anyone have an idea where i can find these out of production parts dont have to worry about this with my fine friends at john rude got this 72' 9.8 for 100$ needs these bushings, fuel lines, and impeller then we'll see howe my first merc expeirence goes really appreciate this site can spend some time on here answering what i can proud owner of many john rudes want to see this merc runthough

only reason y i didnt fix up my merc first was cause nobdy helped me so i went to johnson evinrude and people responded like instant:D

not dogging this site it has helped me many times i wouldnt have bought a merc if i would have known no help was alailable here. buy a john rude if u want any help here. maybe its the amount of people that knows how to fix garbage is on short supply

I think that there are more than enough helpful responders in this Merc section. I think many of the posts that do not get quick responses are due to posts with badly worded and uninformative titles or badly worded questions with insufficient information, causing potential responders to skip the post. There is an art to placing a good posting to better elicit a quick and helpful response. Just my observations...

And you say you bought this new? Because I'm sure a discriminating buyer would have never bought a used O/B that the previous owner probably never took care of.

All the brands pretty much run for years if taken care of. Garbage is what you get when someone sticks their problematic O/B to you.

My experience shows that most people rarely sell a great O/B. But they usually pass the garbage on to another sucker.
