Mercury High 5, what pitch?

I have a 1971 Glastron 17ft V-hull with a 165hp straight 6 Mercruiser. Currently I am running a 23pitch 14" prop and turn around 3900rpm at WOT. I am going to buy a Mercury High 5 prop as I am told and have read that this is the best prop for pulling skiers you can get and is very good with cornering. The question is what pitch? My hole shot is not what I want it to be, but is decent with a loaded boat. Should I go with a 21 pitch or a 19 pitch High 5? Any other input?

TIA

3900 RPMs seems mighty slow to me..I believe you should be turning around 5K rpms. So yes a 19 sounds about right to me..but there are more qualified people here that can do better than my guess.

Sorry, I should have mentioned...Max RPM for my straight 6 in the book is 4200rpm.
