Ok guys, Not too long ago I posted about frozen steering. My steering is still frozen despite my pumping three pumps worth of the grease gun into her. I went to remove the cable but ended up removing the tube that seems to hold the motor onto the mounting clamps. The cable seems to run inside this tube, how on earth do I get it out? I can turn it, but cannot pull or push it in or out. I tried hammering.. it worked somewhat but only freed maybe 3 inches worth. What should I do?
Ive been staring at it for awhile and cannot figure what the hold up is.
THANKS ALOT

Sounds like you need a new cable.

Get a Overtons catalog, or West Marine.

Once you see the pictures & read how they want you to measure your old one in order to get a new one, it'll make more sense.

Its one of those things where its a real head scratcher the first time around, the 2nd time-- you're an expert.
