Mercury Mariner 3L EFI coil connector

Working on a friends 225HP 1997 3L EFI. Coil PT# [h=1]827509T 7[/h] The harness connector to the coil looks overheated / melted at the Green-red (Stator) pin. Need to replace the connector. This engine exhibits a problem under load or bogging after warmup. Max 3000 RPM with tach bouncing. Now it could be many things but upon inspection, I found a few suspect ground connection and this connector that needs replacing. I really only want to replace the connector and not the whole harness. All the other coil connectors look fine.
