1995 ish 150 hp blackmax. I just got the beep beep beep oil alarm the other day and I'm trying to troubleshoot. Today I discovered that the oil reservoir cap sensor had been unplugged by the previous owner. Not only was it unplugged but the blue wire to the module is gone as well. I'm guessing the level sensor on the tank went bad and they took the cheap way out? This did not produce the alarm so something new must be happening. The oil tank is full. At this point I'm guessing its the module itself or possibly the motion sensor? There was spark on the #2 cylinder so I assume I don't have a switch box problem??? Any advice on how to troubleshoot the module and sensor. My other option is to just remove the entire oiling system which is now 30 years old, Any input would be appreciated.

I don't trust oil injection. Don't know anything about the alarm but I've had two with that and always premix.

Fuel mix ratio is 50::1 on that motor.

To delete the oiling system, remove the oil pump and then the drive shaft for the pump. You can reinstall the pump and loop the oil line or find a block off plate. Sack the oil injection warning module and idle stabilizer. Test the overheat alarm by grounding the sensor on the head to make sure it still works.
