What year?<br />Check lanyard switch first.<br />Mercury tilt switch second.<br />Then, year becomes vital.

The year is 1992 and has carborater not fuel injected!

Ok. The thrid thing to check is the entire kill circuit. Diconnect the black with yellow stripe wire at the switchbox. If you have no spark after that, suspect the switchbox, trigger, stator.<br />You will need the manual to complete the testing procedure for each component, and a good voltohmeter.
