Mercury outboard 65 hp issues

My boat will stall in idle and will only start with the throttle up regardless if the engine is already warmed. Are these symptoms of carburetor problems? , any tips will be appreciated.
Engine is a oil injection 65hp mercury 1998.

Could be timing ,linkage,carbs, etc,etc. Need to test basics...compression first, spark second, fuel sample third.

Last year when I checked for compression it was 105 to 110 on each cylinders, I will check the spark next, thank you so much Faztbullet.
